Christopher Haase
One of the most decorated Audi factory drivers in GT3 history, Christopher Haase combines mechanical instinct with race craft refined across more than two decades of professional motorsport.
// origin
The Beginning
Born in Kulmbach, Bavaria in 1987, Haase arrived in professional motorsport through the workshop. He trained as a motorcar mechanic before transitioning to competitive racing — an unusual path that gave him an innate understanding of the machines he would later drive at the highest level. He turned professional in the mid-2000s, progressing rapidly through German national championships before catching the attention of Audi Sport.
// rise
Building Momentum
Three championships in three consecutive seasons announced him as the most complete GT driver of his generation in Europe. The 2007 ADAC GT Masters title came first, followed by the 2008 FIA GT4 Superlight European Championship and the 2009 FIA GT3 European Championship. That sequence earned him a place in the Audi Sport factory driver programme — one of the most competitive seats in customer racing.

The Machines
Haase has campaigned every generation of the Audi R8 LMS since joining the factory programme — from the original platform through the EVO and EVO II. He is among the most experienced operators of the Audi GT3 platform in the world, with deep setup knowledge accumulated across the Nürburgring, Spa, Bathurst, Dubai, and Sepang.
// identity
More Than a Racing Driver
The mechanic-turned-factory-driver story defines how Haase operates in the paddock. Beyond racing, he serves as an Audi driving experience instructor and test driver, contributing development feedback to the same platform he races. He brings 948 ranked points and over 27,000 professional laps to every programme he joins.
// reputation
In The Paddock
Haase is regarded as a benchmark endurance specialist. He has won at every circuit that defines GT3 careers — the Nürburgring twice, Spa, Dubai twice — delivering when conditions are hardest and race distances are longest. Teams and co-drivers know they are getting a complete operator.
// now
Current Chapter
In 2024, Haase claimed the International GT Open championship and his second 24 Hours of Dubai victory. Podiums at the 12 Hours of Bathurst and 12 Hours of Sepang confirmed he remains among the best endurance specialists in GT3. Still competing as a factory Audi Sport driver, he combines an active race programme with instructor and test driver roles.
